Biodiversity Museum Day began in 2012 with only three participating collections serving about 500 visitors. In 2020 there were 13 participating collections and over 4,000 visitors. All this growth has occurred with a minimal budget and much campus collaboration. 

We sincerely thank our departments, colleges, and the Chancellors for supporting our efforts all these years through internal UC Davis funding. Further in-kind support came from Kathy Keatley Garvey, UC Campus Dining, Campus Planning and Environmental Design, UC Davis Facilities, Campus Police, and Strategic Communications.
